Our Restaurant’s History
The Stone House opened its doors in December 2008 as a family-owned restaurant and has proudly served the local and tourist markets ever since.
The Stone House restaurant is a beautiful stone and wood building on Highway 550 across from Walmart. It started as an old-style diner that looked like a metal trailer. After a year and a half of remodeling and re-engineering, the building transformed into what it is today.
The Stone House remains one of the most excellent eating establishments in Montrose. Even though we are an upscale place, our hearts remain with the casual people who have made us successful. We are dedicated to treating our employees like family and our guests like just that—guests!
